And then there were two...
Crudessence opened the doors of its
second restaurant in the heart of downtown, at 2157McKay street!
Georges Laraque was there to meet and greet the crowd who waited patiently for the doors to be opened, then grab a seat inside and order the items from the menu available that day. Mathieu Gallant, David Côte and Julian Giacomelli, owners of Crudessence, a dynamic and energetic trio, was there smiling and shaking hands with friends as well as tying up the always present last minute loose ends.

The decor of the new restaurant is simple and elegant. In the front part of the restaurant there is a small boutique where one can buy their raw food essentials: nuts, seeds, oils, powders and even books! The menu is identical to the one we love to indulge in at the Rachel street location with a few new items to look forward to taste in the future. On this night, friends at our table ordered the BLT (featured in the picture) and the Oceanic (a salad of seaweeds served on greens with crackers), which both looked mouth watering. My daughter asked for a smoothie, which quickly disappeared from her glass: a sure sign of deliciousness!
A real good time was had by all, and as we were leaving, we could still see people smiling, talking and sharing a good time on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant.
I am really happy to welcome this new addition of the Crudessence family to the raw food scene of Montreal and especially downtown. I invite you all to go and check it out, have a lunch or drop by to grab a snack.
Visit the website of Crudessence for opening hours and to view the menu online.
Raw just keeps getting better....
